The Planning Office will be hosting an in-person community meeting on the Pathway to 2040 Comprehensive Plan Update on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the Beacon Hall Conference Center on the George Mason University SciTech Campus in Manassas. This is an opportunity for the public to provide comments. This event will be live streamed and recorded. A link to watch the event will be posted on this page. The open house with County Agencies will begin at 6:00 PM. There will be no formal staff presentation at this event. Draft policies and other meeting materials will be posted on this portal prior to the meeting and following the meeting. In-person public comment time will start 7:00 PM. After in-person comment time is finished, on-line comments will start.

Health precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 will be observed at this meeting. Prior to registering to attend in person, please be aware and agree to comply with the following COVID-19 protocols, which are required by the event facility.
As part of George Mason’s guidelines on events and gatherings several precautionary measures will be exercised to prevent the spreading of COVID-19.
- Registration is required, so the event space is not over capacity. (Please note: The number of free tickets for this event is limited, and registration is required.)
- A mask is required in the event space for all attendees.
- Attendees are required to complete a “Mason COVID Health Check” prior to attending the event. (Please note: An account with George Mason is required and is free to set up. It is recommended that attendees create their accounts in advance of the meeting to ensure there are no technical issues.)
